Day 4 - Lüderitz 21/11/2017

In the afternoon we arrived in the harbour town Lüderitz. Named after Adolf Lüderitz, a Hanseat from Bremen it was founded in 1883 and is is known for its German colonial architecture.

After checking into our hotel, the decent Nest hotel, with my room having a beautiful view over the bay, some of us were off to explore the town viewing the Felsenkirche (Rock Church), the Railway Station, the Goerkehaus etc..

It felt partly weird walking around there with many of these buildings reminding you of some "Bäder architecture" buildings in the villages and resorts by the Baltic sea and the North sea. If it hadn't been for the sandy streets I could have easily walked around Ahlbeck or Kühlungsborn at the Baltic sea!
