Day 13 was another full day in the Etosha National Park, this time not by bus but by an open truck style vehicle - not the jeep I had expected and used to from South Africa, but still pretty cool with loads of space as we were only 11 on a 25 seater - the other 6 from our travel group spent the morning on the bus driving around Etosha but returned in early afternoon.
It was another great day including seeing a leopard with a cub, lions very close this time, dik-diks very close as well, elephants by the street walking in front of us and besides us and more elephants at a water holes this time really playing in the water.
What was really interesting was that a lion was hiding under a tree from the elephants, giraffes were at the water hole at that time as well who were very wary and most of them stared at the lion while the elephants didn't care - it was rather hilarious!
I could have watched the animals for much longer but unfortunately most of the others from the group were bored by 3pm and made it clear with loud comments - so annoyed as they slightly ruined the afternoon for me (inform yourself before doing such a tour how long it takes!)!
But hey, I saw elephants = happy bunny.
