Switzerland: Day 7 - GoldenPass line to Montreux

After doing the first leg of the GoldenPass line the day before I did the one to Montreux on Sunday. Well you take an ordinary train to Zweisimmen first then actually get on a panorama train - or on a old fancy classic train depending on when you take it as there are different kind of trains during the day.
Weather again was not too great in the morning so the journey was another grey one though still it is one wonderful too. That part of Switzerland is again different to the rest.
Montreux was not too impressive. Similar to Lugano at a lake with its Rivera it just does not have the same atmosphere - maybe it has something to do with the French influence. ;-)

I went back to Interlaken via Martigny and through the Rhone valley passing the "Valais Wine Area". Swiss wine may not be very well known but this part of the country is the biggest where grapes grow and since it currently is season I could see hundreds and throusands of grape vines. What a view - and a sunny one as the weather had suddenly improved.
Next time I actually need to go off and walk through along some of them!
