After the beautiful morning in Zermatt and up to the Gornergrat mountain I was finally off to Interlaken where I'd stay four nights. But instead of taking the quickest way to get there I of course took a panorama journey.
First train was a regional train into the valley to Brig and got another regional train to the town of Spiez which would not use the rather new Lötschberg base tunnel but the longer journey through various valleys and up and down mountains (and just using the older shorter Lötschberg tunnel).

Seriously this is another amazing journey I can only recommend with beautiful sights and since it is largely used by locals and if any tourists people going hiking so a totally different crowd to what you get on the posh trains.
Arrived in Interlaken in late afternoon, checked into my lovely little hotel (15 rooms and managed just by owners) and finished off day with a boat tour on the
lake Thun with the weather still being gorgeous and the tour included in my train pass.
