Day 6 in Switzerland and I took the GoldenPass panoramic train to Lucerne. Well saying that it is actually not a proper one, just an ordinary inter regio train which passes through nice valleys and up and down mountains.
Weather was rather poor and the journey to Lucerne was negatively impacted by this a**ehole train conductor. I had reserved a seat, which you do not really do in Switzerland on ordinary trains, but because I wanted to sit on the right side for the great views over the lakes etc. I thought I better do. But when I got to train it wasn't reserved and train was full - of course my seat was taken, the people would not move and when I complained to the conductor he would not help. So half way the journey I wanted him to confirm that the seat was not reserved, after all I had paid for something that hadn't been done and he got all rude and nasty. Hope he pays for it, as when back I actually filed a complaint to the train company about him.
Weather was once again not too great, actually rather bad, so I did not get up to the Pilatus mountain but spent a few hours in beautiful Lucerne, a city I first fell in love with when I was in Switzerland in winter 2008/09 and took the train back to Interlaken - this time on the "right" side - without a reservation.
