Switzerland: Day 3 - Bernina Express Coach + Tirano

After a good sleep and a yummy breakfast with one of the best cappuccinos I ever had (these Italians certainly know how to prepare a good cappuccino) it was time for the Bernina express service to St. Moritz.
First part was a three hours journey on a coach from Lugano to Tirano in Italy just at the border to Switzerland along the lake Como then across a valley.
It was such a lovely journey, you have to reserve a seat and lucky me had a seat on the right side for the lakes etc.

What views! And lovely company too having chats with people from Canada, UK, Australia… Journey was over too quickly.

I then had an hour to kill in Tirano which is mainly known for the Catholic shrine of the Madonna di Tirano, a major tourist attraction. Besides that there is not too much to see (have chance to get some food) so I was pleased when it was time to board the Bernina express train to St. Moritz which operates on the UNESCO world heritage site of the Bernina Railway.
